Ambassadors of Sierra Leone, Netherlands to Ethiopia present Copy of Credence

Addis Ababa, September 24, 2020 (FBC) – State Minister Redwan Hussien received today copy of credentials of Ambassadors of Sierra Leone and the Netherlands to Ethiopia  Adekunle J.M King and Henk Jen Bakker.

At the occasion, Ambassador Redwan appreciated the active engagement and commitment of the Sierra Leonean troops serving under the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).

The two ambassadors stressed that African countries should begin to look inwardly and promote regional integration to exhibit a united stand for their common cause at international fora.

Ambassador King has also raised the possibility of launching a direct flight to Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone, by Ethiopian Airlines.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State Minister Redwan affirmed that the Sierra Leonean ambassador would get all the necessary support from the Government and the people of Ethiopia during his stay in Addis Ababa.

State Minister Redwan asked the Netherlands ambassador Henk Jen Bakker to work on upscaling relations with a much more focus on technological and skill transfer.

Ambassador Bakker said the two countries should strive to take the existing development cooperation into a more mature economic and political relationship.
