Amb Nebiat briefs CAERT on government’s law enforcement measure in Tigray

Addis Ababa, November 27, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to Algeria, Nebiat Getachew briefed Africa Center for the Study and Research on Terrorism (CAERT) on government’s law  enforcement measures in Tigray.

Ambassador Nebiat explained to the atrocity committed by the TPLF Junta on the Northern Command of The National Defence Force, and told CAERT that the national army has liberated many places in Tigray and commenced the final offensive against the renegade group.

He explained to the CAERT researchers that the federal government’s law and order enforcement operation in Tigray is aimed to end TPLF impunity and bring perpetrators to justice in short span of time. The completion of the operation will bring about relief to the people of Tigray, he added.

Government of Ethiopia is working to reinstate people who were affected by the law enforcement measures in the region.

Ambassador Nebiat also highlighted the massacre of civilians committed by the TPLF Junta in Maikadra which is evidenced by reports of Amnesty International and Ethiopian Human Rights Commission.

Underlining Ethiopia’s role for peace and security in the horn, Ambassador Nebiat assured the researchers that the federal government has a full capacity to fully contain the perpetration from the renegade group.

The researchers of CAERT, to themselves, assured the ambassador that they have obtained ample information on what is going on in Ethiopia in line with ensuring law and order in the country.
