WHO Chief Tedros acting as important part of TPLF’s information warfare on Ethiopia: Journalist

Addis Ababa, September 12, 2022 (FBC) – In an exclusive interview with FBC, Co-founder and editor-in-chief of Scoop, Alastair Thompson, said that WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom has long been acting as the most important part of the TPLF information warfare since the rebel group opened war on Ethiopia.

“The day after TPLF re-started the war, on 25th August, he held a press briefing where he addressed the Tigray issue directly. And he answered a question from a reporter from Washington D.C. who is aligned to the TPLF, and his response was to say that he could not contact his families in Tigray and send them money. That was not an acceptable and appropriate answer to the question, because the principles of the humanitarian operations of the United Nations stipulate independence and impartiality,” Alastair Thompson said.

In doing so, Tedros has declared that the rules that apply to everybody else in the humanitarian community are not applied to him, he noted.

There is a lot of evidence that the WHO Chief is sabotaging the efforts of the World Health Organization to actually record and document and report on the destruction of health facilities in Amhara and Afar regions, which is part of agency’s mandate in Ethiopia, he explained.

“The war waged by the TPLF has caused an absolutely incredible impact on children, not just child soldiers, but children were murdered and raped by TPLF forces in Amhara and Afar regions. But, the UN said nothing about this. And Tedros Adhanom is responsible for this, because he has always been a member of the TPLF.”

“And he makes it quite clear that he’s still allied with the TPLF Group. On the day of the alleged kindergarten attack, Tedros personally uploaded in his tweeter account a video showing dismembered people in irresponsible manner.”

Tedros has never posted a content verified by the media or concerned independent body. And, he is directly contributing to the TPLF’s misinformation and disinformation campaign against Ethiopia, the Journalist added.
