AUC Chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat confers with Chinese FM Qin Gang

Addis Ababa, January 11, 2023 (FBC) – The Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang held discussion today with the African Union Commission Chairperson, Moussa Faki Mahamat.

In their discussions, the officials advised on various issues related to Africa-China partnership.

It is stated that both sides are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding after the discussion.

Recall that Qin Gang has held discussions yesterday with the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Demeke Mekonnen on bilateral issues.

Later today, he is also expected to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the China-backed Africa CDC new Headquarter in Addis Ababa.
