Binyam Belay, Yosef Tarekegn scoop POTY awards

Addis Ababa, July 31, 2023 (FBC) – St. George’s player Binyam Belay has won the 2022/23 Ethiopian Premier League season men’s “Players’ Player of the Season” award.

According to the Ethiopian Professional Footballers’ Association, Binyam has received the highest vote from the captains of the Ethiopian Premier League clubs.

It is known that Binyam was instrumental for his club, Saint George, when they won their 16th Premier League title with last season.

In addition, his outstanding performance on the middle of the park has helped him to earn the prestigious award.

On the other hand, the Association announced in a statement that Yosef Tarekegn of Adama City Football Club has won the “Young Player of the Season” award.
