CEO: Ethio Telecom ensuring institutions to implement contemporary services

Addis Ababa, October 24, 2022 (FBC) – Ethio Telecom and the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration have signed an agreement to pay online business registration and licensing service fees through TeleBirr.

The agreement will enable customers to pay their fees from wherever they are at no extra cost through TeleBirr.

Ethio Telecom CEO, Frehiwot Tamru, said that they are working hard to ensure institutions are delivering their services through contemporary and digitized system.

This enables the community get convenient and efficient service by paying the fee through TeleBirr, Frehiwot stated.

She affirmed that Ethio Telecom will continue to work in cooperation with the Minister.

The Minister of Trade and Regional Integration, Gebremeskel Chala, believes that the agreement will help save time and resource of customers.

More than 87 institutions in Ethiopia have implemented customer payments through TeleBirr.
