China, Africa solidarity a key value amid time of uncertainty: PM

Addis Ababa, June 17, 2020 (FBC) – Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed, addressing the extraordinary China-Africa Summit said solidarity between China and African countries has been a key value during this time of uncertainty.

Recalling the eight major initiatives announced by president Xi Jinping during the Forum China – Africa Cooperation, Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed called for prior attention for the health care system.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed took part in the virtual Extraordinary China-Africa Summit on Solidarity against COVID-19, Chaired by President Xi Jinping.

The Summit which is jointly proposed by China, South Africa as AU Chair and Senegal, as co-Chair of FOCAC convened leaders of African countries, the United Nations Secretary General and the Director-General of the World Health Organization.
