Chinese companies express interest to invest in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, November 15, 2023 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Investment Commission management received and hosted the China Chamber of Commerce of Metals (CCCMC) delegation at the commission.

The delegation led by Minister Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Embassy of China in Addis Ababa, Yang Yihang consists of 14 members from different business ventures.

Representatives from the delegation expressed interest in investing in different investment sectors in Ethiopia and strengthening cooperation with the Commission.

EIC senior management guaranteed full support to the team in their upcoming investment projects in Ethiopia.

The Commissioner of the Ethiopian Investment Commission, Lelise Neme and senior management of the commission received and briefed the team on various investment opportunities in Ethiopia, particularly in priority investment sectors and reforms that have been done especially in the last five years.
