Chinese companies keen on partaking in Invest Ethiopia 2023 High-Level Forum

Addis Ababa, March 20, 2023 (FBC) – Tefera Derbew, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to the People’s Republic of China, had a fruitful discussion with various Chinese Investment associations in the Ethiopian Embassy, Beijing.

The discussion focused on participating in the High-level investment forum that will be held from April 26-28/2023 in Addis Ababa, FBC understands.

Presidents and CEOs from 20 Associations engaged in different sectors; including Mining, Energy, Steel &Iron, Textile, Leather & Leather products, Agro-processing, among others have participated.

In his speech, Ambassador Tefera thanked the Associations for accepting the Embassy’s invitation to attend the meeting, noting that this shows their commitment to work in cooperation with Ethiopia.

He highlighted the investment opportunities in Ethiopia, calling upon the associations to organize their member companies to attend the High-Level Investment forum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Ambassador Dawano Kedir, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy, also shed lights on the enticing investment potentials in Ethiopia.

The Associations, for their part, expressed their commitment to work jointly with the Ethiopian Embassy for the benefit of the two countries.

They pledged an undertaking to promote Ethiopian investment opportunities for member companies and participate in the investment forum next month in Addis Ababa.
