ENDC identifies stakeholders for public inputs

Addis Ababa, July 28, 2023 (FBC) – The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission (ENDC) confirmed that it has identified various stakeholders for agenda garnering process in regions and city administrations.

Stakeholders have also been asked to participate actively in the process of agenda gathering based on the Commission’s invitation to them.

Identified stakeholders among others are designated representatives from communities in each woreda, teachers’ associations, civil society organizations, political parties, employers’ federations and labor unions.

Also, religious institutions, disability associations, celebrities, professional associations, regional councils, regional governments (executive bodies) and regional judges are among the identified stakeholders, ENDC said.

The Commission further indicated that the ex-servicemen association, regional journalists’ association (media institutions association), civil servants across regions, university lecturers, trade unions councils have also been identified as stakeholders.

The aforementioned stakeholders are expected to present their agendas at the upcoming national dialogue, the Commission confirmed.

Recall that the Commission last month invited the general public to continue submitting national issues which they consider could be national agendas during the upcoming national dialogue program.

ENDC also called on all Ethiopians in the Diaspora to take advantage of this historic opportunity to actively participate in the national consultation, which is expected to play a vital role in the future of Ethiopia. Accordingly, the Commission announced last month that it is planning to hold virtual meetings with Ethiopian Diasporas across the globe.
