Construction of Ethiopia’s giant cement plant reaches a crucial phase

Addis Ababa, November 26, 2023 (FBC) – Construction of Lemi Cement Factory, the largest in its kind in Ethiopia, has reached a crucial phase, FBC’s reports indicate.

The Lemmi National Cement S.C. Industrial Complex, a joint venture between Ethiopian East African Holding Company and West China Cement Limited, has a capacity of producing 10,000T of cement on a daily basis.

The crucial cement manufacturing machines including the ball mill, the vertical mill and the cyclone separator have been completed, FBC’s staff reporter confirmed.

The project managers told FBC that they are working round the clock to finalize the plant soon.

Recalled, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has recently paid a visit to the construction site of the Lemmi National Cement S.C. Industrial Complex.
