Council urges Muslims to adhere to righteous deeds during Maulid celebration

Addis Ababa, September 26, 2023 (FBC) – The Addis Ababa Islamic Affairs Supreme Council announced that the Maulid celebration Holiday will be celebrated at the Grand Mosque in the capital tomorrow.

The Council urged Muslims to adhere to the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be up on Him) in doing good deeds while celebrating the Holiday.

Executive member of the Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council, Sheikh Abdulhamid Ahmed, stated that the Muslim community celebrates Maulid by practicing teachings of Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be up on Him) through charitable deeds and bequeathing them to the next generation.

Sheikh Abdulhamid Ahmed stated that preparations including cleaning and beautification of the celebration site have been already finalized for the Maulid Holiday.
