Czech Republic keen on strengthening economic cooperation with Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, March 16, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia remains to be Czech Republic’s priority country in economic cooperation, said Mr. Jiri Kozak, First Deputy Minister of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

Semereta Sewasew, Ethiopia’s State Minister for Finance, held a discussion with Mr. Jiri Kozak, on strengthening bilateral economic cooperation in agricultural development, water, sanitation, building capacity in hydrogeological survey, and vocational program support.

Both sides agreed to further increase private sector investments from the Czech Republic in Ethiopia.

It is noted that Kozak affirmed Ethiopia remains to be a priority country for the Czech Republic.

Both sides committed to explore means to further strengthen and make the cooperation even more effective, according to the Ministry of Finance of Ethiopia.
