Defense, Foreign Affairs Ministries brief military Attachés of foreign missions residing in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, February 12, 2022 (FBC) – Director General for Neighboring Countries and IGAD Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia and Brigadier General Bulti Tadesse from the Ministry of Defense briefed Military Attaches of foreign missions residing in Addis Ababa on the belligerent acts of the TPLF and measures taken.

Ambassador Fiseha Shawl stated that the Government has taken various measures to ensure peace in the country.

But, he said, some western countries are still tarnishing the image of Ethiopia in favor the terrorist TPLF.

The terrorist TPLF Group with its fresh attacks on Ab’ala Afar Region has killed many innocent civilians and forced many others to flee their homes, Ambassador Fisseha Shawul said.

Ambassador Fisseha indicated that the terrorist group has blocked humanitarian operation into Tigray. “Although the government is preparing for national dialogue to ensure peace, culprits of the terrorist TPLF will be held accountable for the crimes they have committed,” he noted.
