Deputy PM and FM Demeke receives Chinese delegation led by Wang Yi

Addis Ababa, July 21, 2023 (FBC) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen has received the Chinese delegation led by Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Wang Yi, at his office.

The discussion held between the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and the Chinese High Level Delegation is focused on bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual concern.

During the discussion, the two sides vowed to cement the existing multifaceted cooperation between Ethiopia and China on bilateral, regional and international fora.

Wang Yi, said, his government is ready to encourage Chinese investors to invest in Ethiopia and participate in the rebuilding and restoration activities in the country.
