Dire-Dawa City inaugurates a 700mln birr car assembling plant

Addis Ababa, August 20, 2022 (FBC) – The automotive assembly plant, built by EL Auto Engineering and Trading PLC, with more than 700 million ETB, has been inaugurated at the Dire-Dawa Free Trade Zone.

“Similar projects should be strengthened in other parts of the country as part of the journey to make our country prosperous”, said Ethiopian Industry Parks Development Corporation CEO, Sandokan Debebe, during the inauguration ceremony.

The mayor of Dire-Dawa City Administration, Kedir Juhar, stated that the city administration will provide all the necessary support to investors who will carry out such projects in the future. The factory has a capacity to assemble 20 cars a day.
