Double delight for Ethiopian Artists as the Capital re-opens Hager Fikr Theatre

Addis Ababa, October 29, 2022 (FBC) – Mayor Office of Addis Ababa has confirmed the reopening of the legendary Hager Fikr Theatre following the completion of its renovation.

According to the Mayor’s Office, the refurbishment of the renowned Hager Fikr Theatre costed more than 30 million birr.

It will be remembered that the Hager Fikr Theatre, established in 1935, has been home to many Ethiopian classic and young artists.

The building was rebuilt to its current general structure in 2002.

The Mayor’s Office added that the current revamping work started in 2020.
