DPM, FM Demeke Confers With Kenya, Nigeria and Rwanda FMs

Addis Ababa, July 15, 2023 (FBC) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Demeke Mekonnen conferred with the Foreign Ministers of Kenya, Nigeria and Rwanda, Alfed Mutua, Vincent Biruta and Adamu Ibrahim (acting), respectively.

The meetings took place on the margins of the ongoing 43rd Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the Executive Council of the African Union in Nairobi, Kenya which was concluded yesterday.

It is stated that the meetings were aimed at further cementing the multifaceted, longstanding relations at bilateral multilateral venues.

Mutua, among other things, called for revival of Joint Border Administrators and Commissioners meeting and joint coordinate the fight against the scourge of terrorism.

It is to be recalled that the DPM and FM met with various Foreign Ministers to cement ties, explore opportunities and cooperate on common challenges.
