ECX to launch online trading project in the next Ethiopian year

Addis Ababa, September 1, 2023 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX) today announced that it will start commodities online shopping in the next Ethiopian year where traders can do their shopping wherever they are.

This online commodities trade platform is said to be part of the digital Ethiopia 2025 strategy, aiming to expand the reach of the online transaction system.

It is disclosed that the manufacturer, supplier and shippers will be able to do online transactions easily from their location, in that regard.

The Online Trading Project was designed under the coordination of the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration and developed through the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, ECX said.

It is stated that the preparation phase is being completed to implement the project.

It is also indicated that the transaction process is safe and secure.
