EDTF sets fundraising event for displaced citizens in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, September 01, 2022 (FBC) – International Ethiopian Diaspora Task Force (EDTF) has announced a fundraising event for displaced citizens.

The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 03 September 2022 in Washington, DC, at the American Embassy of Ethiopia meeting hall under the theme of “All Hands for Ethiopia”.

The International Ethiopian Diaspora Task Force announced that the money collected from the event will be used for the resettlement of displaced citizens and those who are in difficult situations for various reasons.

Ethiopia’s ambassador to the United States, Selshi Bekele, Ethiopia’s permanent envoy to the United Nations, Ambassador Taye Atsike-Selase, independent journalist Hermela Aregawi and other invited guests are expected to be present on the program.

Two weeks ago, more than 70,000 USD has been raised for the construction of the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam in a fundraising event held in Washington DC in one night.
