Education Ministry asks Sweden to support Ethiopia in rebuilding schools ruined by war

Addis Ababa, January 26, 2022 (FBC) – The Education Minister, Professor Berhanu Nega conferred with Ambassador of Sweden to Ethiopia, Hans Henric on how to rebuild schools ruined by the war in northern parts of the country.

On the occasion, Professor Berhanu recounted that the Government of Sweden built a great number of quality schools that are now giving services in several parts of the country with a view to back the education system in Ethiopia.

The Minister called on the Swedish government to renew its commitment for the education system in Ethiopia and support efforts of the government in rebuilding the schools that have been ravaged by the terrorist TPLF in various parts of the country.

Ambassador Hans Henric, for his part, affirmed that his government will respond to the call delivered by the Ethiopian government for rebuilding of damaged schools in quality manner.
