Education Ministry launches reconstruction of war-torn schools in Afar Region

Addis Ababa, July 20, 2022 (FBC) – The Education Minister, Professor Berhanu Nega along with President of the Afar State, Haji Awol Arba has officially launched reconstruction of war-torn schools in the region.

The officials launched the reconstruction process at Darsa Gita Primary School, one of the institutions that sustained a complete destruction due to aggression of the terrorist group.

It is stated on the occasion that Darsa Gita Primary School is one of the schools where the teaching learning process came to a halt in the region. The budged of the reconstruction has been covered by the Ethiopian Trust Fund.

President Haji Awol Arba pledged to closely monitor and follow up the reconstruction works so that the projects will be completed as per time scheduled, and learning teaching process resumes accordingly.
