EEG, CRRC agree to manufacture electric buses in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, April 28, 2023 (FBC) – Ethio-Engineering Group (EEG) and CRRC Corporation Limited reached an agreement to manufacture electric buses in Ethiopia.

It is stated that the two sides agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) soon in order to establish an Electric Bus Plan in Ethiopia.

Speaking on the occasion, EEG CEO, Suleiman Dedefo, noted that his group will work hard towards seeing Electric Buses being manufactured in Ethiopia, adding that EEG envisages the buses to be manufactured being supplied to the African markets.

Representatives of CRRC also expressed keen interest to work and cooperate closely with EEG, it is mentioned.
