Invest Ethiopia 2023 forum to open tomorrow

Addis Ababa, April 25, 2023 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) has announced the launch of Invest Ethiopia 2023, an investment forum that will bring together investors, business leaders, policymakers, and entrepreneurs from around the world to explore and unlock investment opportunities in Ethiopia.

Invest Ethiopia 2023 will take place from April 26 to 28, 2013, at the Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, according to EIC.

EIC added that the forum will be held under the theme “Invest and Grow in Ethiopia – The Land of Attractive Investment Opportunities.

The forum is sponsored by Commercial Bank of Ethiopia and Ethio Telecom, two of the country’s leading financial and telecommunications institutions. Ethiopian Airlines will serve as the official travel partner for the forum, EIC has stated.

It further stated that the forum will be attended by more than 600 new foreign direct investors and will have the potential to generate more than $3 billion in investments in Ethiopia over the next few years.

It will be opened by a senior government official and will feature exhibitions by various regions of Ethiopia, speaking sessions by international businesspeople, presentation of investable opportunities in Ethiopia and ample networking opportunities, EIC has indicated.

EIC further indicated that the forum will provide a platform for participants to learn about Ethiopia’s business climate, investment opportunities, and government policies aimed at promoting investment and economic growth.

Invest Ethiopia 2023 will showcase some of the most promising investment opportunities in Ethiopia, with a focus on sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, energy, ICT, healthcare, transport and logistics, tourism and other emerging sectors.

The forum will provide a platform for investors to connect with local entrepreneurs and government officials, learn about the latest investment incentives and policies, and explore partnership opportunities with Ethiopian businesses.
