ERA awards close to 20bn birr road projects to contractors

Addis Ababa, July 22, 2020 (FBC) -The Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA) has awarded 12 road projects to local and overseas contractors.

The 825.23 km long projects will be carried out with 19.9 billion birr allocated by the Ethiopian government and the World Bank.

Six of the contractors are local firms, while the remaining are overseas contractors.

The construction of the projects is expected to take from one year and five months to four years.
