Eritrean senior military delegates visit Ethiopian Air Force base

Addis Ababa, April 5, 2023 (FBC) – Eritrea’s senior military delegation led by Brigader General Abraha Kasa, Head of National Security Agency (NSA), has visited Ethiopian Air Force Base in Bishoftu, Oromia Region.

According to Yemane G. Meskel, Eritrean Minister of Information, the Eritrean senior military delegation includes Major/Gen. Romodan Awliya, B/G. Hadish Ephrem; B/G. Iyob Fissehaie and B/G Michael Hannes.

The delegation was cordially received by General Yilma Merdasa, Commander of the Ethiopian Air Force and visited the Ethiopian Air Force Base in Bishoftu where the Commander provided briefings, the Minister added.

The delegation has also visited the Ethiopian Information Network Security Agency; the Artificial Intelligence Institute; the HQ of the Federal Police; the Science Museum, and Abrehot Public Library among others, Yeman added.

He stated that the central purpose of the current visit is to further consolidate the close ties of military cooperation that exist between the two countries.

Accompanied by Shimelis Abdisa, President of the Oromia Region, the delegation has also visited agricultural activities, wheat production, agro-industrial plants, other food security projects activities, as well as educational facilities in the Oromia Region, it is stated.

It was disclosed that the delegation has also visited Assosa and the GERD in the Beneshangul Gumz Region.
