Ethio Telecom amasses revenue of 61 billion birr this year

Addis Ababa, August 31, 2022 (FBC) – Ethio Telecom closed a tough year with outstanding results, said the Ethiopian Investment Holdings (EIH).

Evaluating performances of the fiscal year with EIH, CEO Frehiwot Tamru indicated that Ethio Telecom realized revenue of ETB 61 billion, launched game changing products like Tele Birr, served 67 million subscriptions this Ethiopian fiscal year.

The company is well on the track to realizing its transition from a telecom provider to the backbone of digitization, EIH said.

EIH encouraged Ethio Telecom to consider further deepening coverage beyond expansion, assure monetization of investments and seek synergies across portfolio companies.
