Ethio Telecom announces telebirr digital insurance service

Addis Ababa, November 17, 2023 (FBC) – Ethio Telecom has announced telebirr Digital Insurance Service in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and Logistics and the Road Safety and Insurance Fund to provide third-party insurance services through a digital system.

It was stated on the launching ceremony that, with the digital insurance service, customers of 18 insurance companies can make third-party registration and renewal payments through telebirr from any location, giving them a reliable and efficient service.

CEO of Ethio Telecom, Firehiwot Tamru, said on the occasion the company empowers insurance companies to decrease operational costs, consolidate data management, access up-to-date reports promptly and deliver effective services to their customers.
