Ethiopia announces media airtime allocated for upcoming election
Addis Ababa, March 26, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopian Broadcast Authority and National Electoral Board of Ethiopia consulted with media organizations on airtime allocation for the upcoming 6th national elections.
The discussion has been focused on rules and regulations as well as working principles of of the media in the light of election pre and post election times.
Leadership of media organizations, senior officials of the electoral board and journalists have attended the consultative platform that focused at airtime allocation and proper use of the media during elections.
Brief explanations has been presented on the platform regarding the rule and regulations that journalist and media should be abided by and principles of allocation of media airtime for political campaign.
Issues related to code of ethics of journalists and fair appropriation of time for political parties has thoroughly been discussed on the occasion.
