Ethiopia, Austria discuss cooperation in the field of mining

Addis Ababa, February 21, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s Minister of Mines, Habtamu Tegegn, received Ambassador of Austria to Ethiopia, Simone Knapp, at his office.

The two sides discussed ways how to forge cooperation in areas of mineral exploration, capacity building training and technology transfer, among others.

Habtamu briefed the Austrian Ambassador on opportunities and potential Ethiopia has in the mining sector.

Ambassador Simone Knapp, for her part, confirmed that the Austrian Government and mining companies in the country are interested to work in collaboration with Ethiopia in the mining sector.
