Ethiopia briefs Arab League about ongoing law enforcement operation

Addis Ababa, November 17, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopian Ambassador to Egypt, Markos Tekle held a fruitful discussion with the Secretary General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

The discussion deliberated on the current situation in Ethiopia in which Ambassador Markos explained the ongoing law enforcement operation.

He also shared his vision of working towards enhancing the relationship between Ethiopia and Egypt with the Secretary General.

The Secretary General welcomed the Ambassador to Egypt and appreciated his determination to work towards a stronger relationship between Ethiopia and Egypt.

He also expressed the important role Ethiopia’s peace has for the security of the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea region.

He further expressed his readiness to work in close coordination with Ambassador Markos Tekle and expressed his commitment to support the Ambassador’s efforts in achieving his objectives.
