Ethiopia, Djibouti to maintain undisrupted logistics services

Addis Ababa, May 15, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s State Minister of Transport, Awel Wegris, yesterday held an in-depth virtual meeting with officials of Djibouti’s Government.

They discussed on how to maintain undisrupted logistics services through halting the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), said the Ministry in a Facebook post.

As port Djibouti is the main route to Ethiopia’s import-export cargo, the two countries agreed to cooperate in battle against the virus on the basis of mutual interest.

The two countries also established a taskforce to use and equip the Tajura port with the required facilities in order to avoid congestion and diversify outlets.

The meeting was attended by leadership of the transport industry from both countries.
