Ethiopia envisages enhancing private sector engagement in health

Addis Ababa, October 7, 2021 (FBC) – Investment Commissioner, Lelise Neme said the Ethiopian government is working to enhancing the private sector engagement in the health sector.

Enhanced engagement of the private sector in the health area with the alignment of pharmaceutical and medical manufacturing hubs in Kilinto Industrial Park will have a cumulative benefit for both sectors.

Commissioner Lelise visited a Chinese-invested Silk Road General Hospital on Thursday and sat down with the Medical Director Dr. Wang Jianhua and discussed ways of utilizing the investment opportunities and attracting more operators to the sector.

The Health Minister, Dr Lia said stronger private sector engagement is key for the transformation of the health sector.
