Ethiopia eyes more investments from France: Ministry of Finance
Addis Ababa, May 16, 2022 (FBC) – Semerita Swasew, State Minister of Finance, and Helene Dantoine, Director for Economic Diplomacy at French Foreign Ministry, held fruitful discussions on the two countries’ bilateral cooperation.
State Minister Semerita Swasew thanked France for its support to Ethiopia’s reform process and underlined the strong bonds between the two countries at a time when they are celebrating 125 years of diplomatic relations.
She further appreciated France’s support to Ethiopia, both at bilateral and multilateral levels, in emergency and development assistance.
The two sides reviewed the existing trade and investment relations and agreed on the great potential for further scaling up these relations for the benefit of the two countries.
Ethiopia is eager to host more investments from France in identified key areas such as agro-processing, manufacturing, mining, ICT and tourism, and is working to continuously enhance business environment for investors.
