Ethiopia keen to attract FDI from the U.S.: State Minister

Addis Ababa, October 18, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia has a keen interest to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from the United States of America and to enhance the trade ties, according to Ambassador Mesganu Arga, State Minister for Political and Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.

The MoFA State Minister said that in a meeting with Mr. Ervin Jose Massinga, the new Ambassador of the United States to Ethiopia, today.

Welcoming Ambassador Massinga, the State Minister appreciated the cooperation between Ethiopia and the United States on bilateral and multilateral platforms.

Ambassador Mesganu highlighted the importance of deepening bilateral engagement and revitalizing structured dialogue between the two countries.

He went on to point out Ethiopia’s keen interest to attract FDI from the U.S. and to enhance the trade ties.

Ambassador Massinga, on his part, affirmed his commitment and desire to work towards the strengthening of the bilateral relations.
