Ethiopia, Portugal vow to scale up bilateral ties

Addis Ababa, February 14, 2024 (FBC) – Foreign Minister Taye Atske Selassie this afternoon met with Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs, João Gomes Cravinho and discussed bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest.

Ambassador Taye during the discussion stressed the need to leverage longstanding diplomatic relations to further enhance cooperation in trade, investment, education and tourism.

Foreign M Cravinho, on his part, expressed his country’s readiness to scale up ties and to support the implementation of the Pretoria Peace Agreement.
