Ethiopia proponent of multilateralism rooted in respect for national sovereignty: PM Abiy

Addis Ababa, December 9, 2021 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Abiy Ahmed has held phone conversation with Under-Secretary of the UN, António Guterres and AU Commissioner Moussa Faki Mahamat on current issues.

During the phone conversations, the Premier underscored that as a founding member of both the United Nations and the African Union, Ethiopia has been a proponent of multilateralism rooted in respect for national sovereignty. The Premier said the phone conversations with the three has been productive.

Prime Minister Abiy held extensive phone discussions yesterday with the leaders of Djibouti, Kenya, Uganda, Somalia, Eritrea and South Sudan. The leaders agreed to continue working together on bilateral and regional issues.
