Ethiopia reports 1,472 new cases, 14 deaths from coronavirus

Addis Ababa, August 24, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopia has reported 1,472 new cases and 14 deaths from coronavirus over the last twenty four hours.

The new infections have been detected out of 18,851 laboratory tests conducted in one day, according to Ministry of Health.

New infections have increased number of confirmed cases in the country to 42,143.

The ministry also indicated that 267 patients have recovered from the disease taking total number of recoveries in to 15,262.

There are now 26,187 active cases in the country of which 275 are in severe conditions, according to the Ministry of Health.
