Ethiopia reports 1,533 new COVID 19 cases

Addis Ababa, August 27, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopia yesterday reported 1,533 COVID 19 cases, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 45,221.

According to the daily report of the Ministry of Health, the new cases were identified out of the 18,724 laboratory tests conducted in 24 hours.

The country also registered 16 deaths from the virus to bring the overall death toll to 725.

Some 515 patients have recovered from the virus, pushing the total number of recoveries to 16,311.

There are now 28,183 active cases, of which 327 are in a severe condition. The country has so far conducted 813, 410 laboratory tests.
