Ethiopia reports 584 new COVID19 cases, 20 deaths in 24hrs

Addis Ababa, August 11, 2020 (FBC) –The Ministry of Health today registered 584 new COVID 19 cases out of the 11, 881 laboratory tests conducted in the past 24 hours.

With this, the total number of confirmed cases in the country now stands at 24, 175.

The Ministry also reported 20 COVID19-related deaths, taking the death toll to 440.

Some 285 patients have recovered from the virus to take the total number of recoveries to 10, 696.

There are now 13, 037 active cases in Ethiopia, of which 190 are in a severe condition.

The country has so far conducted 520, 891 laboratory tests.
