Ethiopia reports record daily increase in COVID19 cases, 23 deaths

Addis Ababa, August 13, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopia yesterday reported a record 943 new COVID-19 cases out of the 14, 540 laboratory tests conducted in 24 hours.

This brings the overall confirmed cases in the country to 25, 118.

The country also reported 23 new COVID-19 related deaths taking the death toll to 463.

A total of 338 patients have recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 11, 034.

There are now 13, 619 active cases in Ethiopia, of which 178 are in a severe condition.

The country has so far conducted 535, 431 laboratory tests.
