Ethiopia, Russia discuss cooperation on fertilizer supply, production

Addis Ababa, February 4, 2024 (FBC) – A delegation of Russian Federation led by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Mikhail Yurin held meetings with Ethiopia’s Minister of Industry, Melaku Alebel and Minister of Agriculture, Girma Amente (PhD).

The parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects for further development of bilateral relations and discussed potential areas of cooperation, including fertilizer supply and domestic production in Ethiopia.

Moreover, the delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, headed by Deputy Minister Mikhail Yurin and comprising representatives of Russian companies “PhosAgro”, “NIIK”, “Acron” and “Uralchem”, visited the headquarters of the BKG company.

The parties exchanged views on ways to develop cooperation in the sphere of fertilizer supply and production.
