Ethiopia, Turkey discuss cooperation in aviation sector

Addis Ababa, April 15, 2022 (FBC) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to Turkey, Adem Mohammed discussed with acting Director General of the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority Professor Kemal YUKSEK on ways of enhancing longstanding ties between Ethiopia and Turkey various areas of cooperation.

The two sides particularly discussed on how to strengthen cooperation between Ethiopian Airlines and Turkish counterpart based on the agreement they signed in 2021.

Ambassador Adem said that the Ethiopian Airlines is the leading air transport operator in the African continent. He added that the Airlines is playing a pivotal role in facilitating trade and investment partnership between Ethiopia and Turkey.

They also explored ways to expedite implementation of the agreement the two airlines reached to operate Wide-body passenger and cargo Aircraft in Addis Ababa and Istanbul.
