Ethiopia, Turkey sign water, military financial cooperation agreement

Addis Ababa, August 18, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopia and Turkey have signed water and military financial cooperation in the presence of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Foreign Affairs State Minister, Ambassador Redwan Hussein and the Defense Minister Dr. Kenea Yadeta signed the agreement representing Ethiopia.

“The agreements we have signed are vital in strengthening relationships between Ethiopia and Turkey. I appreciate Turkey’s support in Ethiopia’s continued development and stability” Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said on the occasion.

The Turkish President, Recep Tayyib Erdogan commended the longstanding bilateral relations between the two countries reaffirming commitment to transofrm the ties to a higher level in several areas of cooperation.
