Ethiopia, Türkiye sign MoU on cooperation in justice, forensic sectors

Addis Ababa, August 23, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopia and Türkiye sign MoU to enhance their cooperation in justice, forensic sectors.

The Stated Minister of the Justice Ministry of Ethiopia, Alemante Agidew discussed with Turkish Ambassador to Ethiopia Yaprak Alp on how to collaborate in areas of the justice and forensic sectors.

Alemante briefed the Ambassador on the reform activities Ethiopia has carried out to capacitate the justice institutions. The two further explored ways how Türkiye will support Ethiopia in transforming the forensic sector.

Following the discussion with the Ambassador, a delegation led by Alemante Agde, Minister of State of Government Law and Justice Services Department in the Ministry of Justice -Ethiopia, paid an official work visit to Turkiye.

Delegation discussed with the Turkish Minister of Justice, Yakup Moul, on ways to further strengthen the relationship between the judicial bodies of the two countries and to work together on justice affairs.

The two sides eventually signed MoU to deepen cooperation between respective institutions of the two countries based on potential areas covered during the discussion.
