Ethiopia values its historical, friendly relationships with Russia: MoFA

Addis Ababa, February 3, 2023 (FBC) – Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Yevgeny Terekhin made a courtesy call on Foreign Affairs State Minister Ambassador Mesganu Arga on Thursday.

Ambassador Mesganu stated that Ethiopia values its historical and friendly relationships with Russia and emphasized the importance of diversifying bilateral cooperation in multiple sectors.

In this regard, the two parties discussed the implementation of signed MoUs as well as the importance of active monitoring of their bilateral agreements in various sectors.

They discussed measures to resuscitate the Joint Ministerial Commission Meeting between Ethiopia and Russia, as well as issues concerning the forthcoming 2nd Russia-Africa Summit.
