Ethiopia vows to enhance ties with Uganda

Addis Ababa, August 23, 2023 (FBC) – The newly appointed Ethiopian Ambassador to Uganda, Etsegenet Bezabih Yimenu, presented her Letter of Credence to the President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at State House Uganda in Entebbe,

During the solemn presentation ceremony, Etsegenet conveyed a message and greetings from Ethiopian President Sahle-Work Zewde, to her Ugandan counterpart and through him to the People of Uganda.

The Ambassador vowed to further enhance the longstanding diplomatic relations between the two countries during her tenure.

The Ambassador stressed the need to enhance bilateral cooperation ties between Ethiopia and Uganda in areas of trade, economy and people to people relations.

President Yoweri Museveni, for his part, commended the historical relationship between Uganda and Ethiopia, pledging to cement the ties in bilateral, regional and international spheres.
