Ethiopian, Chinese tour operators vow to cooperate in hoisting tourism sector

Addis Ababa, March 14, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopian and Chinese tour operators have pledged to join forces in promoting tourist attractions of both countries in a bid to further elevate the ties of both countries through tourism domain.

Both sides made the vow during a Business-to-Business (B2B) online forum organized jointly by the Ethiopian Embassy in China and Ethiopian Airlines on March 13, 2024. The online forum aims to bolster tourism ties between Ethiopia and China. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 40 tour operators, 20 from each country, the Embassy noted on social media.

While delivering a speech during the online forum, Ethiopian Ambassador to China, Tefera Derbew, urged collaboration among tour operators to showcase the beauty and heritage of both nations.

Subsequently, the tour operators of both countries pledged to join forces in attracting Chinese tourists to Ethiopia, aiming to make the East African nation their premier destination.
