Ethiopian Coffee Promotion event held in China

Addis Ababa, May 21, 2021 (FBC) – The Embassy of Ethiopia in China in collaboration with Beijing Chengjia Culture Communications Co., Ltd conducted an Ethiopian Coffee Promotion event. A number of Chinese drawn from the diplomatic and business community have attended the event.

On the occasion, Deputy Head of Mission in the embassy, Ambassador Dawano Kedir said Ethiopia’s Coffee export volume to China is growing from time to time calling the event instrumental to further foster the crop among the Chinese community.

Ethiopian Coffee is becoming the most favorite beverage among Chinese youths, it is indicated on the occasion.

The deputy head of mission also invited participants to promote and visit cultural and historical tourist sites and Ethiopia and play their share in promoting the coffee.

Participants, to themselves, expressed delight over the experience of the special taste of the Ethiopian coffee and pledged to contribute to promotion of the coffee to Chinese community.

Ethiopia exported 4000 ton of coffee to China in 2019 alone, according to the information from trade and industry.
