Ethiopian envoy confers with ambassadors of Korea and Italia in Abu Dhabi

Addis Ababa, March 18, 2021 (FBC) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia Suleman Dedefo conferred with Abu Dhabi based ambassadors of South Korea and Italy, Kwon Yongwoo and Nicola Lener on various issues.

Ambassador Suleman briefed his Italian and Korean counterparts on latest developments in Ethiopia.

He said Ethiopia has longstanding bilateral relationships with both Italy and Korea reaffirming commitment of his country to further deepen these ties in several social and economic areas of cooperation.

The ambassador also explained Ethiopia’s humanitarian, rehabilitation and rebuilding activities in Tigray region, negotiation on release of waters from reservoir of GERD and situation with Sudan.

Two ambassadors expressed gratitude for the briefings on the ongoing situation in Ethiopia and the region and forwarded recommendations to solve circumstances related to both GERD and Ethiopia-Sudan border dispute with peaceful mechanisms reiterating commitment of their countries to cement cooperation with Ethiopia.

Ambassador Suleman also held talks with Chargé D’affaires of Somalia Ahmed Daahir Mohammed where forwarded explanations about current situation in Ethiopia.

On the other hand, Ethiopian Head of Mission in Kingdom of Bahrain met with Chairman of Chamber of Commerce of Bahrain and discussed a ragne of issues on ow to strengthen trade, investment, tourism and business between two countries.
